The Long House

The Long House — the circulation spine running the length of the plan

Brief

A house built around a single spine. One long room runs the depth of the plan, with a planted court open along one side and the stair rising out of it, so the whole house is read from end to end the moment you step in.

Approach

Board-marked concrete scored with concentric arcs carries the double-height wall, set against polished floors, plaster and teak. Bedrooms take the same restraint in warmer colour — dusty rose, sage, slatted timber to full height.

Living

The Long House — the long circulation spine, stair and planted court to one side, dining at the far end

Dining

The Long House — the dining table under the double-height concrete wall, living room beyond
The Long House — the dining area open to the kitchen, glazing onto the planted court

Bedrooms

The Long House — a bedroom in dusty rose plaster, with a desk under the shelves
The Long House — a bedroom faced full height in slatted teak, between two tall windows
The Long House — the same bedroom from the door, the green wall scored in concentric arcs

Let's build together.
